What it is like
A herb. It can be erect or lie over. It grows 40 cm tall. The stems are thin. It forms roots at the lower nodes. The leaves are alternate and oval or sword shaped. They are 3-8 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. They are ribbed. There are teeth along the edge. The flowers are orchid shaped and 3-4 cm across. They are pink.
There are about 850 Impatiens species.
