What it is like
A tree. It grows 25 m high. The leaves are compound and alternate. They are 15-30 cm long with narrow leaflets. The flowers are white and cream. The fruit is 5-9 mm across.
There are about 30 Schinus species.
Where it is found
It grows in subtropical and warm temperate regions. It grows on red sandy loams. It is often along creek banks.
