What it is like

The leaf blade is 7.5-14.5 cm long by 3-7 cm wide. They are green on top and paler underneath. The flowers are white and like tubes. They are 1-2.5 cm across and 0.5-0.7 cm wide. The occur in round clusters at the ends of branches. The clusters are 5-11 cm across. The fruit are small round berries. These are 0.3-0.7 cm across. They occur in clusters on short stiff stalks. The are black when ripe and have 1-2 seeds.

There are about 400 Ixora species. They grow in tropical countries.
