What it is like
A creeper or vine. The stems are angled. The leaves are simple and alternate. They are 7-18 cm long by 7-19 cm wide. There are 5-7 lobes. The base is heart shaped and it tapers towards the tip. The flowers are in the axils of leaves and occur singly or in groups of two. The fruit are 3-5 cm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. In Central America it grow between 800-1,800 m altitude. In southern China it grows on limestone hills. In Yunnan.
