What it is like
A small grass. It keeps growing from year to year. It forms tufts. It grows 30-100 cm tall. The leaf blades are 5-30 cm long by 0.5-1 cm wide.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in moist places with medium to heavy soil. In India it grows in western Rajasthan. In southern China it grows along the edges of fields and moist open places between 100-1,500 m above sea level.
