What it is like
An erect branched herb 0.8 to 1.5 m high. The leaves are pointed at the tip and 3 to 10 cm long. The flowers occur singly or in clusters. They are pale green to yellowish green. The fruit are long, bright red and have a sharp flavour.
There are 10 Capsicum species.

A tropical plant. Widely distributed in the Philippines.
