What it is like

A tree. It grows 24 m tall. The trunk can be 45 cm across. The bark is smooth and pale brown. The leaves are narrowly oval and 4-21 cm long by 2-10 cm wide. They are pointed at the tip and there are teeth along the edge. The leaf stalk is 13 cm long. The flowering shoots occur singly and are 3 cm long. The flowers are yellow. The fruit are oval and yellow. They are smooth and fleshy. The seeds are oval and 2-3 cm long by 1 cm wide. There are 2-6 in each fruit.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in disturbed primary forest between 30-200 m above sea level.
