What it is like
A tree. It grows 13 m tall. The leaves are in rings of 3-5. The flower are yellow. The fruit are made up of 2 small fleshy fruit joined in the lower half. They are hairy and 3-4 cm long. There are several seeds inside the stones.
There are 30 Ochrosia species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in dry forest up to 300 m altitude.
