What it is like

A large shrub or small tree. It usually grows 1-4 m high. It can be growing attached to other plants. The leaves are narrowly oval and 4-7 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The flowers are white or red. The fruit is a berry 6-7 mm across.

Where it is found

A tropical plant. It is often in forests near the sea shore but has been found up to 2,400 m altitude.
