What it is like
A herb. It keeps growing from year to year. It is 7-25 cm tall. It has creeping rhizomes underground. The leaves have leaflets that are almost triangle shaped and 1-3 cm long by 2-4 cm wide.
Where it is found
It is a temperate place. It grows in both moist and dry shady places between 800-3,400 m above sea level. In Sichuan and Yunnan.
