What it is like

This may be a non-acid form of mandarin lime. The trees are small and spreading. They are thornless and the young leaves are purple. The flowers are purple on the outside and have a scent. The fruit are almost round. They are 4-5 cm across. The peel is thin and orange with small oil dots. The pulp is orange and in 7-10 segments. The fruit are usually seedless.

There are 20 Citrus species. Several hybrids have been formed. This one is probably a hybrid of Citrus limon and Citrus reticulata.
