What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 1-6 m tall. The bark is soft and corky. The trunk can be 30 cm across. The leave are usually in tufts. There are 9-15 leaflets. These are narrowly oblong and 15 mm long by 6 mm wide. There are 1-4 flowers in a group. The fruit are often slightly curved and 6.5 cm long.
There are 20 Ormocarpum species.
