What it is like
A tree. It grows 10-30 m high. The trunks are 28 cm across. The bark is grey and flaky. Plants are separately male and female. Flowers and fruit are produced on the trunk. The fruit are 5 cm across.
There are about 80 Baccaurea species.

A tropical plant. It grows up to 450 m above sea level.
