What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It can grow 10-15 m tall. The branches are thin and often drooping.
There are about 40 Olax species. They are tropical.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in the undergrowth in deciduous forests in West Africa. In Nigeria it has been recorded up to 1,500 m above sea level.
