What it is like
An erect shrub or small tree. The young branches are slender, with four angles and smooth. The leaves are opposite and leathery. The flower heads are singly and the inner ring of petals form a yellow envelope. The fruit are solid, yellowish white when mature and juicy.
There are about 80 Morinda species. They grow in the tropics.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. They are common in the valleys and hills throughout the islands of the Philippines.
