What it is like

A shrub or small tree. It grows 11 m tall. The branches are angular. The leaves are opposite. They are pale green underneath. They are oblong to sword shaped and 6-18 cm long by 2-12 cm wide. The flowers occur singly opposite the leaves. They are white. The fruit are cone shaped or oblong and 2-3 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.

There are about 80 Morinda species. They grow in the tropics.
