What it is like

A herb that keeps growing from year to year. It grows 10 cm tall and spreads 20 cm wide. The leaves are broadly oval and 3-5 mm long. The flowers are small and without stalks. The fruit is a berry 4 mm across. It is orange. It has a single seed.

There are 12 Nertera species.

It is a temperate plant. It grows in lowland forests.
