What it is like
A seaweed. It can be olive-green to yellow-brown. It is made up of necklace-like rows of round air bladders. These are attached to each other by short branching stalks. They are 30 cm long.
Where it is found
It grows on temperate seashores. It grows in the inter tidal zone. It grows on flat surfaces where it is exposed to air at low tide and covered with water at high tide.
