What it is like

The leaves are sword shaped and green with paler green spots. They have long leaf stalks and are arranged in a ring at the base. The flowers are pink but change to blue. They are tube shaped but widen.

There are about 14 Pulmonaria species. They are temperate.

It is a temperate plant. It will grow in most soils and most positions. It is resistant to frost but sensitive to drought. It suits hardiness zones 6-9.
