What it is like
A herb. It grows to 50 cm high. The lower leaves have stalks. They are divided 3 times and the leaflets are dissected. The upper leaves are reduced. The flowers are white in compound umbrella shaped flower arrangements.
There are about 150 Pimpinella species.
Where it is found
In Nepal it grows between 1200-3200 m altitude. It grows in open, grassy slopes.
