What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 3-10 m tall. The branches are small and young branches are hairy. The leaves are oval and 4-14 cm long. Male and female flowers are separate. The fruit are 4 mm across. They are purple with white waxy dots.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in mountain forests at 1,600-3,300 m above sea level.
