What it is like
A tree. It grows 35 m tall. The leaves are opposite and oval. They are 4-8 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. The flowers occur singly. The fruit are small and green and become dark red when ripe. They are 2 cm across. They are edible.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. In Argentina it grows between 500-1,000 m above sea level.
