What it is like
A shrub or bushy tree. It grows 7-9 m tall. The bark is dark grey and smooth. The leaves are simple and alternate. The leaf blade is 3-10 cm long by 1-6 cm wide. It is narrowly oval. Male and female flowers are on separate trees. The flowers are cream to white. The fruit is round and 1.5 cm across. It is yellow. There are 6-8 seeds.

It is a tropical plant. It grows in coastal thickets from sea level to 100 m above sea level.
