What it is like
A shrub or vine. It grows 4 m tall. The leaves are sword shaped and 5-8 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The flowers are in the axils of the leaves. They are in groups 6-10 cm long.

It is a tropical plant. In Argentina it grows from sea level to 2,800 m above sea level.
