What it is like

A shrub. It grows 2-4 m tall. The stems are grey and the branches are slender. The leaves are oblong and 6-9 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The fruit are capsules that are 9-10 mm long by 5 mm wide. There is usually one seed.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It grows in sparse mountain forests between 100-800 m above sea level in southern China. In Yunnan.
