What it is like
A cabbage family herb which keeps growing from year to year. It grows to about 2 m high. The lower leaves are deeply divided. The lobes occur in 5-9 pairs. They are 10-20 cm long and oblong to sword shaped. It has pointed teeth. The upper leaves are narrow and without teeth. The flowers are yellow. The fruit is winged and with one seed.
Where it is found
It is a subtropical plant. It grows on slopes, rocky areas, along streams between 3000–4600 m in China. It grows in Nepal between 2700-4500 m altitude. It grows on open slopes in light forests.
