What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 7 m high. There are 1-2 fruiting stalks that hang down. The fruit are long and yellow. They are 3-5 cm long by 2-4 cm wide. They have overlapping processes. The fruit has a firm pulp.
There are about 100-150 Annona species. It is rare.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows naturally in the lowlands of French Guiana. It grows in marshy meadows. It grows in savanna regions.
