What it is like
A shrub. It grows 3 m high. The leaves are opposite and narrowly oval. They are slightly curved and rounded at the base. They are 5-10 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The flowers are bright red. The are tube shaped and in the axils of leaves or at the ends of branches. They are 1-5 cm long.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It has been recorded between 1,200-2,300 m above sea level.
