What it is like

A shrub, tree or woody climber. It can be 18 m long with a trunk 11 cm across. The leaves are narrowly oval and 7-17 cm long by 2-8 cm wide. The fruit are 2.5-3.5 cm long by 3-4 cm across. They are orange-brown and hang down.


Where it is found

It is a tropical plant. It grows at low altitudes in Brazil up to 200 m altitude.
