What it is like
A shrub. The branches are thick and grey. The leaves are thick and narrowly oblong. They are 12 cm long. The flowers are green and in dense pyramid shaped groups at the ends of branches. The fruit are black, round berries.
Ardisia obovata occurs in Guadeloupe and has as a synonym Ardisia guadeloupensis. Also put in the family Myrsinaceae.
