What it is like
A palm. It grows 25 m tall. The trunk can be 70-80 cm across. The leaves are 6-7 m long with 160-180 leaflets. These are 80-100 cm long and 4-5 cm wide. The fruit are 6-7 cm long by 3-4.5 cm wide. They turn orange when mature.
There are 28 Scheelea species.
