What it is like

A shrub. It grows 1-2 m high. The leaves are alternate and 3-6 cm long by 1-3 cm wide. They are whitish underneath. The flowering shoots are at the ends of branches and in the axils of leaves. There are 4-10 flowers.

There are about 50-70 Wikstroema species. CAUTION: Many Wikstroema are poisonous.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It grows amongst shrubs on slopes and among rocks between 1,000-2,800 m above sea level.
