What it is like
A tree. It grows 35 m tall. The trunk is 50 cm across. The leaves are alternate and simple. They are 17 cm long by 7 cm wide. The flowers are in the axils of leaves or at the ends of branches. The flowers are 3 cm across and have a sweet scent. There are 6 pinkish or reddish purple petals. The fruit are broadly cone shaped. with wrinkles across them. There are a few brown seeds. These are 23 mm long by 17 mm wide.
