What it is like
A herb. It grows about 30 cm tall. The leaves are alternate and 8-10 cm long by 3.5-7.5 cm wide. They are oval and heart shaped at the base but with unequal lobes. The edges are toothed. The flowers have stalks and are pink. The fruit is flat with unequal wings.
There are 900-1,000-1,500 Begonia species.
Where it is found
It grows throughout Nepal between 1200-2600 m altitude. It grows in moist, shady places.
