What it is like
A tree. It grows up to 30 m tall. The leaves are simple and 4-7 cm long. They are smooth. There are 1 or 2 veins near the edge of the leaf. The flowers occur either singly or in clusters in the angles where leaves join or at the ends of branches. The fruit are 2-3 cm long and 3-4 cm across. The fruit is round and flattened and white. There is one seed in the fruit and the seed is 1-1.5 cm long by 2-2.5 cm across. The flesh of the fruit is edible.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in the rainforest in northeast Queensland in Australia. It grows between 50-600 m altitude.
