What it is like

A shrub. It grows 50 cm tall. The small branches are yellow brown. They are thorny at the tip. The leaves occur singly on long shoots. They are narrowly oval and 8-15 cm long by 2-3 cm wide. The base is wedge shaped. The flowering shoots occur singly and there are several flowers clustered with leaves. The fruit is a round berry 4 mm across. They are yellow to red when ripe.
