What it is like
A thorny shrub. It grows 3 m tall. The branches are stiff. The leaves are in tufts on short shoots. They are succulent. They are oval and 5-20 mm long by 2-3 mm wide. The flowers are cream and tube shaped with mauve petals. The fruit are red berries 3 mm across.

It is a subtropical plant.
