What it is like
A shrub. It grows 1-2 m tall. It is hairy. The leaves are in unequal pairs. The larger leaf is narrowly oval and 4-18 cm long by 3-5 cm wide. There can be 2-9 flowers in a group.

It is a tropical plant. It grows near rivers and in dense forests in valleys between 200-1,600 m above sea level. In Yunnan.
