What it is like
A robust waterlily. It has tuberous rhizomes. The leaves are 17-40 cm long by 16-32 cm wide. They are round or oval with a division producing heart shaped lobes. The flowers are blue of pink and 6-12 cm acrpss.
There are about 50 Nymphaea species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. It grows in rivers, lakes and pools.
