What it is like
A climbing herb. It grows 1 m tall. The flowers are fragrant and purplish blue. They are pea like. The pods are 40-70 mm long by 5-7 mm wide.
There are about 150 Lathyrus species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. They need full sun and well-drained soil. In Argentina it grows below 500 m above sea level.
