What it is like
A small tree. It grows about 14 m high. The fruit are bright red and small. They are 1.5 cm long by 2 cm wide. They have a sweet juicy pulp. The fruit has 3-6 segments. Each contains a brown seed. This is about 8 mm across.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in the understorey on alluvial soils up to 200 m above sea level.
