What it is like
An annual herb. It grows 2 m high. The leaves are alternate and 6-9 cm long by 3.5-4 cm wide. The leaf stalk is 2.5-3 cm long. The fruit are 12-15 cm long by 4-5 cm wide.
There are 10 Capsicum species.
Where it is found
A tropical plant. In Papua New Guinea it grows from sea level to 2,300 m above sea level.
