What it is like
A plant like a banana. It is large and non woody. There are several small fruit about 5 cm long. The pulp is yellow or orange. It has large brown seeds.
Where it is found
It is a tropical plant. It grows in seasonally dry areas. In Malawi it grows between 900-1,100 m above sea level.
