What it is like
A shrub or small tree. It grows 3-6 m tall. The trunk is 14 cm across. The leaves are oblong and 10-24 cm long by 5-12 cm wide. They taper 1.5-2.5 cm long at the tip. The base can be rounded. The fruit is a red-brown capsule when ripe. There are several seeds 1 cm long.
