What it is like
A herb. It grows 1 m tall. The leaves are kidney shaped and 5-8 cm long by 5-13 cm wide. There are triangle shaped teeth along the edge. Most leaves are near the base.
There are about 150 Ligularia species.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. It grows near stream banks between 900-2,800 m above sea level.
