What it is like
A straggling prickly shrub. The leaves are stalked. They have 3-5 leaflets and the leaflets only have short stalks. They are oval and taper to the tip. They have teeth along the edge. They are white and hairy underneath. The flowers are white or pinkish. The fruit are red and succulent.
Where it is found
It is a temperate plant. In Nepal they are grown between 2000-3000 m altitude. They grow in moist, rocky places. It grows in Sichuan and Yunnan in China. In Vietnam it occurs at 2,600 m above sea level.
