What it is like
A tree. It grows 5-10 m high. The young branches are hairy. The leaves are thin and rough. They are broadly oval and 7-14 cm long by 3-10 cm wide. The flowers occur singly and are white. They are 12 cm across. The fruit is a capsule 7-17 cm across. It is almost round and reddish-brown. The outside is woody and 2 cm thick. It is dark brown.
