What it is like

A bamboo. It grows 5-8 m tall and the culms are 2-4 cm across. The internodes are 28-40 cm long. There are 4-7 branches at each node. There are 5-7 leaves on the end branch. The leaf blade is 10-15 cm long by 1-2 cm wide.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. It grows in western Yunnan in China between 1,900-2,800 m altitude.
