What it is like

A shrub. It keeps growing from year to year. It can grow to 2 m tall. The leaves are oval or spoon shaped and 6-30 mm long by 2-13 mm wide. The flowers occur singly. The fruit is oval and 5 mm long by 4 mm wide. The seeds are irregular shaped and there are 10-15 in each locule.


Where it is found

It is a subtropical plant. In Argentina it grows below 500 m above sea level.
