What it is like

A large tree. It grows up to 25 m tall. The flowers are yellowish but turn red. They have the smell of sour milk. The fruit are 1 cm across. They are green but turn pink then red to purplish-black as they ripen. The pulp is sweet and juicy. It is edible. There is one seed inside.


Where it is found

A tropical plant. It occurs in swamps and lowlands in the tropics.
